PRAY; DON’T WORRY [Phil. 4:6-9]
If anybody had an excuse for worrying, it was the Apostle Paul. Some Christians in Philippi were not united in the same spirit. We have no idea what Euodia and Synche were disputing about, but it was a potential to hindering the advancement of the gospel. Paul also had to face division among the believers Phil 1:14-17. What is worry? Why do Christians worry rather than pray? What is the secret over worry? The Greek word translated ‘anxious’ (careful) in Phil. 4:6 means “to be pulled in different directionsâ€. Our hopes and aspirations pull us in one direction; our fears pull us the opposite direction: and we are pulled apart- this is the art of living in the real world.
